Tuesday Tunes: Good Morning Smiles

Morning Smiles and Gratitude

Last night on Dancing With The Stars Andy Grammer and his pro partner Allison Holker received a standing ovation and a perfect score of 10’s across the board from the judges for their tribute to “Good Morning” from the legendary musical Singing in the Rain.

The new reinvented version choreographed by Holker captured the essence of joy and playfulness that was exuded from Donald O’ Conner, Debbie Reynolds, and Gene Kelly despite lacking the intricate energetic tap steps that the original was known for.

Start your day with a dance in your step celebrating the blessings in your life!

“Instead of looking at our challenges and limitations as something negative or bad, we can begin to look at them as blessings, magnificent gifts that can be used to ignite our imaginations and help us go further than we ever knew we could go.”-Amy Purdy

Amy Purdy has a passion for living.  At the age of 19, she lost her legs below her knees due to bacterial meningitis.  Despite this disability Amy went on to become a professional snowboarder with leg prosthetics.

In 2005 Purdy and Daniel Gale founded Adaptive Action Sports “to help create opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities to get involved in skateboarding and snowboarding and all action sports.”

Today, she is a motivational speaker inspiring others to live beyond their limits. Amy can be seen competing live on ABC’s 18th season of “Dancing with the Stars” with professional partner Derek Hough. Tune in on Mondays at 8pm to see Amy’s soul shine.
